Since Valentine's Day is next week, I thought this would be a perfect time to do an updated version of a date night outfit. If you are going on a date or Galentine's dinner with the girls, this would be a great neutral outfit. Sometimes you don't want to wear pink or red so this is a great alternative. Also, I love that all of these pieces can be recreated. They are great basics to add to your closet.
I wanted to style this outfit around the jacket just because I wanted it to be the focal point of the whole outfit. It's currently one of my favorite jackets I own. A funny story: Adrian bought this jacket for me for Christmas. We had to exchange a coat that he originally bought which ended up being too big for me. We went to Nordstrom to do an exchange. Of course, this jacket caught my eye. I fell in love with one touch. I can't even express how soft this jacket really is. You just have to trust me! I told Adrian he had to touch it. He fell in love too. He actually told me to take it off so he could put it on. Now, can you imagine him wearing it? It was the funniest thing ever! The lining inside is a silky material which makes it super cozy. The sizing is a little weird but it runs true to size. I am wearing a small/medium. If you are looking for a cozy teddy bear jacket, I highly recommend this one.
Like I said earlier, I wanted to style this outfit around the jacket. I knew I wanted to stay in the neutral pallet. I paired it with my Free People bodysuit which is a great layering piece that you can wear all year around. Only if I had a light tan pair of jeans, this look would have been perfection. I have to put that on my list to add to my closet. I ended up pairing it with Levis jeans and nude pumps.
To finish this look, if you follow me on Instagram, then you saw this on my stories. I paired it with my new Krewe glasses. It definitely added that chic vibe to the whole outfit. If you never heard of Krewe before, they are a New Orleans eyewear brand. If you are new to my blog, I was born and raised in New Orleans (currently in Austin). I've been wanting a pair of Krewe glasses for about three years now. I was really excited to add these to my collection. If you are looking for new sunnies, this is a brand you need to check out. They have so many unique and very chic styles. I can't wait to add more to my sunglass collection.
Hope you guys enjoyed this post!
