Happy Monday, I am going to keep this post short today! For this post, it's all about oversized sweater dress and over the knee boot. This one is super festive for Valentine's day! It's such an easy look to put together. Plus, the colors are giving me some spring vibes! Also, I mentioned on IG stories that my boots are on sale, and for $70! Trust me, it's so hard to find a good pair of over the knee boots that are under 100.
Since it's Monday, I really want to end this post on a positive note. Start your week off with good vibes only! Take all of the negatives out, no matter what happens, just have positive thoughts. I promise you it will make a difference in your life. Negative thoughts can leave you empty and hard to achieve your goals. So stay positive and be present, you can achieve anything if you set yourself too!
I wanted to post an updated date night outfit especially since Valentine's Day is slowly approaching. Plus, the weekend is almost here, hopefully, this post will give you some inspo. A little about me: Adrian and I always have date night on Friday. If that means we are going out or staying in cooking/ watching a movie. I would definitely wear this for our Friday date night. If you been following me, you know I love simple outfits that are easy to put together. (This dress is right up my alley!) When I saw this adorable burgundy polka dot dress, I thought this dress would be so cute for V-Day and date nights. Plus, it's so easy to style it.
This dress on its own is such a statement dress so you want to style it to be the focal point of the outfit. The style is very retro which I love! The collar and the cuffs with the tassels gives a feminine touch to it. Also, it is so soft and it like a cotton feel to it! Since the dress is such a statement, I styled it simple. I paired it with black knee highs and a chic black box clutch which I received from the Box of Style. As long as you keep it pair it with neutrals, the dress with remain the statement piece. By the way, this dress does run large, so be sure to size down one.
Let me know in the comments section what you guys think about this date night outfit! I would love to know!
My first post for 2018 is a casual winter outfit from Chicwish. Lets back it up, can you guys believe it's a new year. I hope the new year is going amazing for everyone so far!
I came across this sweater last year, I saw the title "Say Yes to Cozy Ribbed Knit Sweater" after that how can I say no! I'm so glad that I did say yes to this sweater just because it's super cozy. Plus, the fabric is thick enough to keep you warm during the winter season. We are having some crazy cold weather here in Austin. For colder temperatures, I would just layer it with a longer coat.
Let's talk about the details! I love love love the details of this sweater. It's different from anything I own. The details are very simple and subtle. Throughout the sweater, you see the ribbed knit and a design on the front and on the sleeves. Also, the sleeves are flared and there is a high low hem which is super flattering. If you read my blog, you know that I love to give style tips. When tops are higher in the front and lower in the back, it helps to elongate your legs.
Lately, I've been gravitating to colors like tan, rose / rose-gold, pale pink, teal, etc. If you follow me on Instagram, you can see that on my feed. My new favorite neutral color right now is tan. It pairs perfectly with just about anything. In this look, I paired it with some statement earrings that I got from Bauble Bar in blush. Even though on Instastories, I thought they were lavender. Then paired this sweater with this metallic crossbody bag from Deux Lux. I felt like this bag just paired perfectly with this top. It took the outfit to the next level. Don't you think? To complete the look, I paired it with jeans and over the knee boot for a perfect casual winter outfit!
