Get Ready With Me and T3

Hey guys, I had the opportunity to team up with T3 to try their new volumizing hot rollers. So, the first thing that came to mind is a "get ready with me" post. Here is a little fact that you might know about me I have super straight hair. When I was younger, my mom would perm my hair but that wouldn't even hold in my hair. Over time I think my hair texture changed, now I take full advantage. I love creating wavy hair because it just adds that much more volume to my dull straight hair. 

Let's talk about the hot rollers. There is two heat setting which allows long lasting curls. The rollers itself has a velvet lining which makes it easy to handle while wrapping your hair. The set comes with eight rollers and eight hair clips. It also comes in a leather traveling case which organizes your rollers and hair clips. That was a plus for just because I have so many hair tools all over my bathroom. It keeps it nice and organized for me.

Now let's get into the step by step of how I created my volumizing curls:

1. I guess it really just depends on your hair type but clean or second-day hair works best. For me, I have super second-day hair sticks better. Before putting heat on your hair, you want to spray heat protective so that you don't damage your hair. This is the one that I use for my hair.

2. After spraying hair protective, I love to use ouai wavy spray because it really helps for my curls to stick and give me that effortlessly chic look. Anyways, I spray it all over my hair.

3. While I am prepping my hair my curlers are heating up. Once they are done, I start to section my hair starting at the crown of my head. I place the roller at the end of the section and twist my hair into the roller. Then secure it with a clip. I repeat this process until I used all of the rollers.

4. You let the curls sit for about 10-20 minutes depending on the style you are going for. While waiting this is a great time to do your makeup.

5. The last step, remove all the rollers and clips. I like to brush my hair at the end just to add more volume but that's me. You can just run your figures through your hair. At the end, I love to add ouai texturizing spray so that my curls will hold and last longer.

Boom.... now you have beautiful shining volumizing hair! How easy was that!

Florals for Spring

Spring has sprung and it's time to bring out everything with floral prints! The first thing I thought about this dress is how versatile this piece is to have in my closet. It's prefect for all spring activities such as brunching, weddings, and even a romantic date night. 

I want to talk about the details of this dress! First of all, the dress comes with a slip underneath. The whole dress is crocheted so ultimately you need a slip to go underneath it. I love how this dress shows subtle skin in all of the right ways without being too revealing. This silhouette is prefect for all body types. The reason why its that way is mainly the dresses design. It flares right on the waist which creates more of a slimming look. Here is a little styling tip: Anything that flares or cinches to your waist will create a smaller waistline and give you the perfect hourglass shape. For this dress, you can always add a little belt to cinch it more to your waistline. Lastly the print gives the perfect spring vibe to it.  Floral is always beautiful to wear.

The way I style it with a nude pump and a bronze clutch would be perfect for a wedding or even for date night. For brunch, I could see myself dressing it down with a straw hat and my Marc Fisher wedges.

Bell Sleeve Trend

The statement bell sleeve seems to be a new trend for spring. I highly recommend trying it out! It was all over the runway and now its in almost every store. These tops vary in style from off the shoulder with a bell flare to tops that have multiple flares and ruffles- like the one I am wearing in this post. Even flare jeans seem to be making a come-back! 

A good bell sleeve adds more fun and a dramatic touch to an outfit. If you keep your outfits simple and add a flare sleeve it really can enhance your outfit and take it to the next level. I found this fun top on Chicwish. Since there is so much going on with the sleeves, I wanted it to be the main focus of this outfit. So I paired it with this simple skirt, which is also from Chicwish and I styled it here with knee high boots, which also adds a little edge. Everything ties in perfectly. From the sliver on the skirt and bag to the black and white contrast which makes the main focus being the top. 

Besides the sleeves, the sheer mesh on the shoulder and wrist gives it more of a statement look. The mesh hits at all of the right places and it gives this top more of a dramatic and edgy look.  This is overall a great bold, fun, and flirty top to add to your closets. It's super comfy too!

Maurice Lacroix Aikon

What is the first thing when you think of word time? Isn't that word so tricky yet so meaningful. 

From a fashion point of view, I think of watches. 

I recently had the privilege to team up with Maurice Lacroix for their new contemporary design of the Aikon. They just launched this particular reference at Baselworld so I am super excited that I can finally show y'all what I have been working on and wearing on my wrist as of late. This particular watch caught my eye when I first saw the new collection! 

 First, let me give you the description of this specific watch. It is a 30 mm stainless steel case with a sapphire crystal face in a smooth stainless steel bezel with rhodium indexes. The watch features a Swiss Quartz movement. Upon purchasing this watch, you can customize the hands to your way of liking ranging from diamonds, rhodium, or even gold plated. This will give you the opportunity to add a touch of you in the design and also allow you to style your watch how you like.

The reason why this particular watch caught my eye is the chic design. From the pearl face to the stainless steal band, the Aikon has my name all over it! They should have named it the Ana. HAHA. All jokes aside, when I look into investing in a piece, I ask myself do I see myself wearing this for years. This specific watch is definitely chic and timeless. 

 Earlier I asked the question about the word time. To me, time in fashion goes by so fast and you're always changing clothes every season but the one thing that can be consistent for years or even decades is a good watch. Maurice Lacroix watches are just that, timeless.
